Silambam or Silambattam is a weapon-based Indian martial art from Tamil Nadu.
In the initial stages of silambattam coaching you will be provided with the foundation of fighting.
The training includes improving balance, strength, speed, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular stamina, agility & hand-eye coordination.
In later stages you will be taught on the foot & stick movements which will take you to the advanced level to defend and protect yourself.
Silambattam helps to strengthen the body immensely enabling the fighter to receive non-lethal blows and still continue the battle. The whole body is used to create power.
